Sexual Harassment Policies must state it is against the law
In a recent judegment of the Federal Court of Australia Oracle has been ordered to pay $18,000 to a former senior employee after the Federal Court found she was sexually harassed by a colleague.
Aside from the details of this case one of the interesting findings and one which should be noted by employers in their policy development and review is that the policy MUST state that sexual harassment is unlawful or against the law.
